In my experience therapists, doctors, teachers, school psychologists who have shown true empathy, a willingness to listen, and respect for me and for Ellie have, sadly, been in the minority. I wish more professionals would try to educate themselves about the people they are trying to help. So that is where I started. But as you will see there are many more places this sentiment extends too, including fashionista sensibilities about wheelchair design".
