Colorful and fun wheelchair bags

I got tired of those black wheelchair bags. So one of my friends, who is a seamstress, decided to do something about it.

Under the name wheelchair wonders at ebay, she's offering colorful and print wheelchair bags in different sizes with different features. There's a water resistant 12 x 6 bright blue bag (also available in yellow) with an extra bag attached on the front for a phone or sunglasses. You can find more pictures here.

She's also made a leopard print midsize bag (and a separate smaller ipod/cell phone bag)which you can find on ebay here and is shown at right . I really like the way this one looks on my chair.

The bags have rings attached for easier opening and attach with velcro to your wheelchair. They are designed to be easy on- easy off but are also durable for everyday use.

She has other prints and sizes available, which you can view here with more to come.

She's hoping these bags will provide all of us with an alternative to the black bags generally available. They just don't cut it for many occasions.

Speaking of occasions, if you need a custom bag (for a wedding, e.g.) or want a different design or material, let her know.

I like the leopard print! The waterproof ones could really be handy too. Rain is hard on our stuff. I really like that these aren't open at the top as a lot of wheelchair bags are--if you're as absent minded as me, you'd flip up that armrest and then remember you shouldn't (imagines sound of coins hitting the floor).

I'm going to keep these in mind for future purchase--I have some fabrics I like on hand that would work great.

Really, I'd like to keep items closer at hand than in the basket, esp. in stores.

Frida- Yes I like the closed top too for the same reason :) I like to keep my wallet and such close so I even put an extra bag right next to me inside of the arm of the wheelchair at times.

I'm impressed! Those are great! I do love the leopard. You know, you guys should make a listing on http://www.gatheringguide.com/ec/party_favors_decorations.html for the fancy wedding ones and see if that gets you any more publicity. These are really wonderful and look well made!
