What would you do if you knew you could not fail? - Anonymous

I'd find the lasting solution to the Middle East conflict between the Islamic countries and Israel, if I knew I could not fail, no matter how much work it took or how long it took. Trouble is, I don't think there is a lasting solution to that problem, until Jesus comes and time is no more.

I like your blog. I would like to go back to Mass and join a parish but I 'm scared about doing it. I use a wheelchair and people consider me to be in the way when I go places. I hear what you're saying about how we need to go there and join in but its hard. I guess people would be more understanding there about how things are because I see Catholics who don't have disabilities who care and leave comments on here. I'm very impressed by that. Thanks for doing this.

Peace in the Middle East - great choice.

Ernie - why not try going back to Mass? You could see what its like - you sound ready to try it. Let me know how it goes!

Ernie, I'm not Catholic, but until very recently I wasn't part of the handicapped world, either. We have a man in a wheelchair in our church, who is welcomed with open arms. Several structural changes that my DH and I have been lobbying for for years, to no avail, have been finished very quickly, so that this one church member could move freely throughout the building. Don't judge your parish friends by the same standard you might others. They will be much more willing to include you than the general public. After all, they're fellow Catholics!!

I've talked about my feelings about going to church as a handicapped person on my blog, so you might want to check it out at Day by Day with Peripheral Neuropathy.
