Kids Together, Inc.

Kids Together, Inc. is a  grassroots volunteer-run nonprofit promoting inclusion of children and adults with disabilities.   Their mission of promoting inclusive communities has been ongoing for over 25 years.  What began at a large children's festival in Quakertown, PA in 1995 has grown into a vital far-reaching resource.  In  2000, Kids Together changed its focus to sharing information and resources through other means such as the website, listserv, email newsletter nationwide, and presenting, participating and providing input to state agencies and statewide coalitions.  Their website includes a myriad of resources and information for people with disabilities, their parents and families and the community-at-large, as well as a listserv.

The nonprofit's goals include making regular environments more accessible, projecting a positive image of children and adults with disabilities, promoting practices that improve the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities, promoting practices that improve support services for children and adults with disabilities, providing information, resources, educational materials and trainings on inclusion and issues on disabilities, educating the public about inclusion and its benefits, and demonstrating inclusive practices through various community events.
