Major funding boost to help young people get out of nursing homes in Tasmania

Via ABC News Online - Australia

"In the state, aged care facilities are home to 16 people aged under 50, and another 140 people younger than 65.

The State and Federal governments have committed almost $6 million over the next five years to improve services in the homes or to find more appropriate accommodation."

Disability activists indicate that there is not nearly enough funding to solve the issue and that the area is ten years behind others.
