Inclusion: POV parent of a child with a disability

One parent's view about how the way people approach inclusion affects the process ....she writes:

"Perhaps if our professionals thought of inclusion as a way to make the most of all students abilities, there wouldn't be this need for all the meetings to define the term. If all people would look at people with disabilities and say to themselves, "There, but for the grace of God, go I," and then go one step further and try to imagine how they would like to treated if they were in that person's shoes, there would be no problem."
