My sister and her husband have had several meetings for my nephew's IEP plan. There have been meetings with school staff, an assembly on assistive technology and other meetings which my sister posted on the kitchen calendar.
My ten year old nephew went over to the calendar the other day after my sister posted yet another meeting and said to her "Thank you, Mommy, for all your hard work to make sure I get what I need."
One grateful kid.
And amidst all the planning for his transition to middle school next year, one IEP plan has been born. And it looks like it will meet his needs pretty well.
At least for now.
