GEWA Page Turner

"Used for social, business, and educational reading, the unit works with books, magazines, catalogs, brochures, incoming mail, etc. It can be operated with a variety of multiple-switch assemblies or optionally with a visual scanner and any single switch. And, it can be run by most environmental control units. "

If you are in the market for an electronic page turner, this appears to be one that is most versatile. However it costs almost four thousand dollars (gulp) without the attachments you'll need, such as switches, a joystick, etc.

Thought I'd pass this information on in case anyone is checking these out.

WOW! Do people actually BUY these things???

I don't think so. I think they just put some of this stuff in catalogs to make it look like there are things that work.....It's priced so high that maybe its just a picture of an item that doesn't exist - who would know?

This is one of the things that I can easily become VERY discouraged about.

Want a resin chair to sit in? Get it for under five bucks at a big box store. Need a heavier plastic chair with holes in it for the shower? Pay a hundred dollars out of pocket or half that if your insurance company things you really NEED to be clean.

Which brings me to the other purpose for things like the one in the catalog... they are there so schools, employers, and health care triage people can say: "A PAGE TURNER? Do you know how much those COST?? We can't possibly provide it to you...."
